Polycystic kidney disease (PKD1: c.9882C>A)
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is an inherited disease that causes kidney cysts to form, leading to kidney failure. PKD cysts often present before the age of 1 year, while kidney failure usually occurs later.
This test is also recommended for the Neva Masquerade (see the official program), Peterbald (see the official program) as part of the Flemish government breeding program.
