The locus D or dilution refers to a mutation in the MLPH gene that causes a diluted coat colour. This mutation dilutes black to blue, chocolate to lilac and yellow to champagne. The mutation tested is the d^2 mutation and is specific to the Chow Chow, Sloughi and Thai Ridgeback breeds. For the other breeds, the test to be performed is the DOG-LOCUS-D test.

Familial nephropathy (FN) is a genetic disease affecting the kidneys. Dogs with this disorder develop progressive kidney failure leading to death. The first symptoms usually appear between 6 months and 2 years of age and include excessive water consumption, weight loss, decreased appetite, diarrhea and vomiting.

This test is also recommended for English Springer Spaniel as part of the breeding program established by the Flemish government (see official program).

Lethal acrodermatitis is a genetic disease of the immune system. The clinical signs are skin lesions on the paws and muzzle, leading to secondary infections. In addition, the lesions cause hyperkeratosis of the pads and deformation of the nails. Affected puppies also suffer from diarrhea, bronchopneumonia and retarded growth. The first symptoms appear quickly after birth. Affected puppies usually die before 2 years of age or are euthanized.

Neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis is a genetic defect characterised by a visual deficit that progresses to complete blindness, as well as progressive anxiety, cognitive and motor degeneration and lack of coordination.

Imerslund-Gräsbeck syndrome is characterised by malabsorption of vitamin B12 (cobalamin). The first symptoms appear around 6 to 12 weeks. The clinical signs are due to the lack of cobalamin which causes megaloblastic anaemia and neurological symptoms.

The term furnishings describes the longer moustache and eyebrows seen in wirehaired dogs and other breeds and is due to a variant of the R-spondin-2 (RSPO2) gene. In some breeds such as the Labradoodle, Goldendoodle and Portuguese Water Dog, the lack of trimming is called improper coat. The test can be performed for any breed, but is particularly relevant for the following breeds: Briard, Havanese, Maltese, Old English Sheepdog, Bouvier Des Flandres, German Pointer, Poodle, Chinese Crested Dog, Portuguese Water Dog, Goldendoodle, Brussels Griffon, Labradoodle, Shih Tzu, Dachshund,Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Black Russian Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier.
